S.1-2 English Student's Writing

- Aim to shape students to become competent writers of English with a mastery of large vocabulary applicable to life and academic settings

- Introduce students to a wide variety of text types commonly seen in junior writing exams and in line with the New Senior Secondary Curriculum

- Introduce different formality and style in writing through reading and mimicking authentic English texts

- Help students hone their writing skills in terms of language use, content analysis and organisations through extensive practice

- Polish students’ own work through editing with personalized feedback

- Revise a wide variety of grammatical structures for different social functions 

- learn practical skills to improve all aspects of writing, such as developing ideas, accurate sentence construction and paragraphing;

- apply the skills learned in class through extensive practice, with a focus on thorough planning and wise time management, thus improve their performance in examinations;

- receive detailed feedback and tips from teachers on how to further develop their writing; and

- develop grammatical knowledge as well as understand different types of writing appropriate for academic and social purpose.
